Francisco Olaguez, 70, of 1518 Broadway Street in Iowa City, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Iowa City Rehabilitation & Health Center from complications of cancer.
Mass of Christina Burial will be hel Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Iowa City with The Very Reverend Rodolph Juarez officiating. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City where a parish wake service will be held at 6:30 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Memorials to the Francisco Olaguez Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be sent to www.lensingfuneral.com.

The Olaguez Family would like to thank everyone, from friends, coworkers, the staff at Iowa Rehab, Iowa City Hospice, University of Iowa Healthcare, neighbors, and family. The passing of our father has certainly been a very difficult time for Jose and myself, but we think it is also a time to celebrate the memory of our late father. We hope that you can join us this Friday and Saturday as we remember and say goodbye to our friend, Francisco Olaguez.
For those of you attending the funeral service on Saturday, we ask that you provide us with additional information by filling out this form,, so that we can make hotel and lunch accomodations. We will be meeting at St. Patrick's for an informal lunch after the service.

To get to our house take Dodge St south until it ends at a T intersection, take a left at the T intersection, take a right at the next stop sign onto Keokuk St. You are going South on Keokuk, after two blocks take a left onto Highland Ave (a church is on your left), go about three streets up and you will see Broadway, turn right on Broadway, if you miss it take a right on Ridge St, go two blocks and you are there. Address is 1518 Broadway Street or I am at 1120 Euclid which is on the corner of Ridge and Euclid.

I have made arrangements for most people to stay at the Travelodge in Iowa City. To get off on I-80 exit 246 and turn left. Once pass the bridge, take the very first right (For Bob's Your Uncle restaurant), if you pass the gas station you went too far. The Travel Lodge is next to Bob's Your Uncle.
