I ended up hooking up Isis (the Powerbook) to the NEC LCD monitor and enabling an expanded desktop. The 250GB drive ended up in a Newer Technology enclosure which is pretty cool, and I now am down to just one keyboard on my desk. At work I have a dual monitor setup too and I found it quite useful, so now I am use to having more desktop space. I'm waiting on next month before I settle on getting a new Macintosh though.
